Exposure Informed Care as a Culture Shift Series Description:

The implementation of the 2022 PACT Act has called clinicians to new levels of excellence in addressing Veteran health concerns related to military environmental exposures. 42% of Veterans seeking care in the VA are concerned about military exposures. Clinicians and healthcare staff have a powerful impact on the lives of Veterans by addressing military exposure concerns and related health conditions.

These 60-minute community of practice calls provide attendees with an integrated, multi-disciplinary curriculum to support the implementation of, and ongoing support for, exposure-informed care across the VA enterprise. This series will equip VHA employees to remain informed and capable of delivering the best care, at the right time, to our nation's Veterans. Health care professionals in multiple fields, including primary care, social work, psychology, and other specialty care areas will find this curriculum supportive in their efforts to provide Veterans with strong best practice care for military environmental exposures.
