War Related Illness and Injury Study Center
ACPM Exposure Education Certification Program for Providers
The Department of Veterans Affairs Health Outcomes Military Exposures (HOME)/War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC) and ACPM are proud to introduce the Military Environmental Exposures Certification program.
Veteran healthcare services occur in a variety of settings, including VA, community and private healthcare settings. To have a significant impact on their quality of life, health care professionals, including VA, Department of Defense, and those in general health systems across the country, must be equipped with known critical knowledge and skills to effectively identify and treat Veteran exposure-related health concerns.
To support this learning, health care professionals can now receive both Level 1 and Level 2 certifications in Military Environmental Exposures, at no cost. Both certification programs are taught by leading field experts and provide extensive and detailed knowledge on military environmental exposures including Agent Orange, ionizing radiation, Camp Lejeune water contamination and many more. Each program is taught through a collection of modules that provide both clinical and practical skills needed to effectively identify, treat, and manage the effects of military environmental exposures in Veterans. Continuing education credits are available for completion of each module.
Information on the Military Environmental Exposures Certification programs and steps for completion are available at Military Environmental Exposures Certifications | ACPM.
We appreciate your continued support of HOME/WRIISC’s mission to serve Veterans facing post-deployment health concerns. We are confident this certification program will further bolster your skills and confidence in working with Veterans with environmental exposure concerns.
